Whether you are brand new to the Cary, North Carolina area or have been living here for years, Cary Newcomers Club (CNC) is a great way to connect with others in your community and meet new friends.
Serving Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas, Cary Newcomers Club offers a wide variety of social activities for men, women, singles and couples, and is a great way to meet other area residents in a relaxed, social atmosphere. You may join us no matter how long you've lived in the area, and you may remain a member for as long as you want.
We hope you'll consider joining us today! For more information, please visit our Membership page. And please check out our Calendar and our extensive list of activities.
All new and prospective members are invited to learn more about CNC by attending a Chat-A-Wyle, a small group gathering held in a member's home once each month. A description of Chat-A-Wyle can be found on the Activities page.
General Meetings for all current and prospective members are held from 9:15 AM until 11:30 AM on the first Wednesday of every month except July. Please join us at the lower level of Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, 200 High Meadow Dr in Cary, across from Salt Box Village. Each general meeting includes refreshments, socializing and a program of interest. NOTE: For the February General Meeting only, we will meet in the Kirk of Kildaire Sanctuary instead of the lower level. (This change is due to refurbishing of the carpet in the multi-purpose room). Also, for our February meeting only, no refreshments will be served since no food/beverages are allowed upstairs.
EXTREME WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY
It's that time of year again. As a reminder, in the event that Wake County Public Schools are closed or have a delayed opening due to weather conditions, all club activities, including General Meetings, will be cancelled.
Each year, CNC selects a local charity to be the beneficiary of Club fundraising. The charity for 2011-2012 is Military Missions in Action (MMIA), a local non-profit organization based in Fuquay-Varina that is dedicated to supporting our active military servicemen and women while providing assistance to our disabled veterans. With programs like "Fill the Trolley" and "Fill the Footlocker", MMIA provides care packages to active military wherever they are stationed. For our disabled vets, MMIA has programs like "Home Makeover" to modify the homes of injured returning military to enable them to live independently. For more info, click to view the Fill the Footlocker flyer or to visit the MMIA website.
