As the boxes get put away, and you begin to feel "settled", consider making new friends and having some fun by joining us at the Cary Newcomers Club (CNC).
Cary Newcomers Club Inc. (CNC) is a not-for-profit social organization whose purpose is - to stimulate new associations and friendships through shared social activities, - to help newcomers to the Cary area identify with their community, and - to promote interest in local civic, cultural and service programs.
It's a GREAT way to make new friends!! Let CNC help you feel more at home in your new community.
Cary Newcomers Club offers an array of activities each month. General meetings for all current and prospective members are held from 9:45 AM until 11:30 AM on the first Wednesday of every month except July. Please join us at the lower level of Kirk of Kildaire Church, 200 High Meadow Dr in Cary, across from Salt Box Village. Each general meeting includes refreshments, socializing and a program of interest. Newcomers from Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina and the surrounding areas are welcome.
All new and prospective members are invited to learn more about CNC by attending a Chat-A-Wyle, a small-group gathering held in a member's home once each month. For more information, please see the Chat-A-Wyle description on the Special Interest Groups page.
Active members whose dues are current may participate in any or all activities of the CNC.
Prospective members are invited to attend up to two club activities before dues become payable upon attending the third activity. To join, complete a New Member Registration form and bring it to any Cary Newcomers activity or event.
Our year runs from February 1st through January 31st. Annual membership dues are $30. Renewals should be paid by February 1st to avoid disruption of newsletter delivery, to ensure inclusion in the Membership Directory and to take advantage of all the club has to offer.
Each year, CNC selects a local charity to be the beneficiary of club fund raising. The charity for 2008-2009 is The Carying Place, a local Cary non-profit organization that helps homeless working families with children by providing transitional housing and life skills counseling to help them grow, become self-reliant and achieve self-sufficiency.
