All Standing Committee Chairpersons are responsible for the following:

    - Attend monthly General Meetings and provide information of interest to the membership at meetings,
      including signup sheets as necessary.


    -
Attend General Board Meetings called by the President and Executive Board Meetings per the 
      President’s request, or as necessary.


    -
Submit newsletter articles related to the committee.

    -
Attend at least one New & Prospective Member Coffee (Chat-A-Wyle) annually.

    -
Provide your replacement with a more detailed job description no later than the June General 
      Meeting.


    -
Coordinate with your replacement a budget request (if applicable) to be submitted to the Finance 
      Committee no later than June 10th.


    -
Recruit and/or coordinate as many subcommittees as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of this 
      position.


    -
Ensure that all participants in the Club activities are current in their dues.

    -
Set up facility for meeting and return it to original condition with assistance from all Board members.

    -
Prepare and submit written proposals for all requests for donations from the membership or community 
      to the executive board for approval.



In addition to the above duties, the following are the responsibilities for each of the positions:



    Buddy Club

        - Basic function of “buddies” is to link with new members, by inviting them to 2 events (i.e. meetings 
          and activities). They are to help ‘break the ice’ for new members.


        - Organize roster of buddies (regular members).

       
    - Coordinate with 2nd VP for membership by matching new/prospective members with a buddy.


      Charity Committee:

          - Research and recommend charities to Executive Board, and present same to the General Membership 
            for approval.


          -
      Set goal, plan and conduct fundraising events or activities to provide charitable donations for the 
            selected charity.


          -
      Liaison with the Social Chairperson to coordinate efforts on at least one event.

          -
      Prepare monthly write up for the Fundraising Committee section of the Club Newsletter.

          -
      Coordinate with Publicity articles to be sent to local newspapers regarding fundraising events.

          -
      Report at General Meetings.

          -
      If available, provide information related to the Yearly Charity for Volunteer Activities Notebook.

          -
      Present and submit written proposals for charity functions to the Executive Board for approval.

      Fun With the Young (FWTY)

          - Organize approximately two activities each month of interest to pre-school children and parents.

          -
      Coordinate and serve as an ex-officio member of the following:

              *
      Children’s playground—organize children by age into small groups that meet to play.

              *
      New & Prospective Member “Kiddie Koffee”---follow-up with 2nd VP for Membership on joining 
                of new members.


      Hospitality:

          - Ensure that refreshments are provided for monthly General Meetings, set up refreshment tables and 
            clean refreshment area after Meeting.


         
      -
      Set up kitchen for meeting and return it to original condition.

      Publicity:

          - Maintain the Website and coordinates with the 1st Vice President for the Newsletter.

         
      -
      Inform media of monthly General Club Meetings and newsworthy Club activities.

         
      -
      Oversees Club’s promotional brochure, making changes as necessary.

         
      -
      Function as a liaison with the 2nd V.P. for Membership in regards to brochure changes/updates as 
            needed.


         
      -
      Maintain a supply of Club brochures and distribute within the Club and community.


        Social Committee:

            - Organize the Annual Holiday Luncheon in December.

            -
        Organize other social activities to meet Club members’ needs.

            -
        Coordinate efforts with Charity liaison on at least one social event.

            - Present and submit written proposals for social functions to the Executive Board for approval.


        Special Interest Groups:

            - Initiate, organize and develop special interest groups (not related to children’s activities). See 
             
        Interest Groups for the list.

            -
        Provide sign-up sheets for Special interest Groups at the tables for General Meetings and to help 
              answer questions.


            -
        Coordinate with chairpersons of Special Interest Groups to be sure all group members’ membership 
              being up to date.


            -
        Hang “Welcome” (2) and “Babysitting”(2) signs at monthly General Meetings.

        Sunshine:

            - Send a card of condolence to Club member who has a death in the immediate family.

            -
        Send “get well”, “thinking of you” and/or “congratulations” cards to members as requested.

            -
        Submit member “news” to 3rd VP-newsletter for inclusion in the next newsletter.

        Volunteer Activities:

            - Coordinate opportunities for the membership to volunteer, either in groups or individually, for local 
              charitable organizations.


            - Write about volunteer opportunities in monthly Club newsletter.

            -
        Maintain a notebook(s) related to local charitable organizations with available volunteer opportunities 
              for the Club’s members.


            -
        Present and submit written proposals for volunteer activities to the Executive Board for approval.
