We would not be able to enjoy all that Cary Newcomers Club has to offer without the help of many member volunteers from our community. These member volunteers fill leadership positions on the Executive Board, on the General Board, on Ad Hoc Committees, on sub-Committees and as Special Interest chairpersons. The Executive Board, General Board and Ad Hoc Committee leadership positions are listed below.
Our Executive Board
We have 7 Executive Board leadership positions. They are:
- President -Windie C
- 1st Vice President in charge of Programs -Elizabeth S
- 2nd Vice President in charge of Membership -Cathy B
- 3rd Vice President in charge of the Club Newsletter -Rena H
- Secretary -Cecelia D
- Treasurer -Carol H
- Parliamentarian - vacant
Each year, in February, nominations are requested and accepted for each of the Executive Board positions. Members may nominate other members or may self-nominate. The Nominating Committee also solicits nominations from the full membership to fill a slate of officers, which they present at the April General Meeting. Elections are held during the May Business Meeting and the new Board takes office after the Installation of Officers at the June General Meeting.
According to our By-Laws Article VI, Section 3, "... The officers shall perform the duties required by these Bylaws and the Job Responsibilities Addendum - Executive Board and may hold a single position for a maximum of two years, but may not serve as an officer for more than a total of three years. At least three of the Executive Board positions shall be filled by members who have not served on the Executive Board previously. ..." This allows us to constantly have a fresh set of ideas available for the smooth running and growth of the club.

The General Board consists of the Executive Board plus Chairpersons of the Standing Committees. Our Standing Committees (listed alphabetically) and Chairpersons are:
- Advertising - OPEN, looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers
- Buddy Chairperson -Sandy M
- Charity Chairperson -OPEN, looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers
- Publicity Chairperson -Tammie Z
- Social Events Chairperson -Bobbi L
- Special Interests Chairperson -Bobbie DeS
- Webmaster -Angela F

Ad Hoc Committees are appointed as needs arise to carry out specific tasks and to facilitate specific purposes and objectives of CNC. Ad Hoc Committees are non-voting positions. Our current Ad Hoc Committees (listed alphabetically) and Chairpersons are:

- Community Connections -OPEN, looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers
- Hospitality -OPEN, looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers; acting chairperson is Windie C
